Real estate investment firm Gencom is restructuring its operations into two separate business lines, a move that comes with several internal promotions and new appointments. The company, which focuses on luxury hospitality and resort properties, said the reorganization is meant to sharpen its focus and improve execution across its growing portfolio.
The first business line will handle core real estate investments, including acquisitions, asset management, and development. The second will center on operating platforms and brand partnerships, which includes hotel management and other hospitality services. Gencom said the split will allow each team to work more independently and respond faster to market changes.
Along with the new structure, the firm announced leadership changes. Several senior executives have been promoted to lead the two divisions, though the company did not specify which executives will take on which roles. Gencom said the new setup will also create clearer career paths for its staff and help the firm scale its operations.
The reorganization follows a period of steady growth for Gencom, which has been active in acquiring and repositioning high-end properties in major resort markets. The company has not said whether the change will affect any of its current projects or external partners. Industry observers see the move as a way for the firm to better manage the complexity of its expanding business, which now spans both property ownership and hospitality operations. Gencom expects the transition to be complete by the end of the quarter.
