The city of Alexandria has officially mailed out the second-half 2025 real estate tax bills to both property owners and mortgage companies. The deadline for payment is set for Monday, November 17. This year, the real estate tax rate has been established at $1.135 per $100 of assessed property value.
Property owners are reminded that any payments made after the due date will incur a 5% penalty if settled by December 2. This penalty is designed to encourage timely payments and ensure that the city can continue to fund essential services and infrastructure projects.
Residents are urged to review their tax bills carefully and reach out to the city’s finance department if they have any questions or concerns regarding their assessments. As the deadline approaches, property owners are encouraged to make arrangements to avoid any late fees and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
